I’m still finding it hard to believe that my little baby girl is six. Our kids’ birthdays always bring out all the cliche parenting feelings, but they are the truth. I just blinked and here we are! I spend a lot of time watching videos of her from when she was two and three and can’t believe how much she’s changed and grown in what feels like such a short time. Being in Kindergarten has seemed to have sped up her growth. She looks so tall and grown-up these days and says the most mature things. We were filling out a poster for the start of school and one of the questions was “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and she had the best answer. She said, “I don’t want to grow up, I just want to be a kid.” I know that answer will change as she ages, but I hope she keeps that innocence for as long as possible.
