Today was a bittersweet day. My parents and I headed out to Dufur to celebrate the life of our cousin Kenn. It was heartbreaking, but there were also lots of laughs, which happens a lot at Macnab get-togethers. Kenn was a good man, a great father and a friend to all he knew. I’m so glad that I actually got to know him in the last few years and I’m happy he met Gemma, even though she will never remember it. But she’ll hear stories about her cousin Kenn, and that makes me happy.
This is the only photo I have of him, but its a special one. Three years ago, we celebrated my grandpa’s 90th birthday. Kenn came in and immediately jumped in the kitchen to help with the food and spent the whole party in there, working so that we wouldn’t have to worry about it. That is the kind of man he was and he will be missed so much.
